A few sellers have reported that for some of their buyers who go through PayPal checkout, when they reach the final screen at the end of checkout, clicking the Return to Merchant button there just brings up a PayPal error page, rather than redirecting the buyer to their E-junkie thank-you/download page as usual.
We have reproduced this error for the affected sellers and opened a ticket about it with PayPal MTS (Merchant Technical Services), Case # 15630969. If you're getting similar reports from your buyers and would like to be added to that MTS ticket, so you can be informed when PayPal resolves the problem at their end, feel free to contact us about it.
When this error occurs, PayPal does actually complete the affected payment, so our system is able to process that order regardless of the error in redirecting the buyer after checkout. As such, affected buyers should still receive thank-you email(s) with a link to their thank-you/download page or any digital code(s) purchased, as usual.
However, it's possible this error may mislead some buyers to suspect their payment failed and try again, leading to duplicate payments for the same order. In this case, you can just refund any duplicate payments from your PayPal account.
